Malik Parris has made a lasting impression as a student leader, multi-instrumentalist, writer, author, and mental health advocate during his four years at Carver STEAM Academy. A proud member of the Class of 2025, Malik leaves a legacy of creativity, compassion and quiet leadership that will inspire students for years to come.
Throughout his time at Carver STEAM, Malik served as President of the Student Government Association and as a Student Advisory Council Ambassador for the Atlanta Board of Education. His leadership journey wasn鈥檛 just about holding titles鈥攊t was about lifting others up, helping his peers find their voices, and modeling the kind of quiet strength that makes true change possible.
When asked what he鈥檚 most proud of, Malik points to the legacy of compassion and creativity he leaves behind. Whether it was through leadership, music, writing, or simply being there when someone needed support, Malik has always worked to make Carver STEAM a place where kindness and authenticity are valued.
One of Malik鈥檚 favorite memories from his high school journey was a trip to Jekyll Island, a poignant moment when everything aligned鈥攍aughter, nature and friendship. It鈥檚 a reminder he carries with him: the importance of slowing down and savoring life鈥檚 simple joys.
Malik’s self-awareness and wisdom shine through when he reflects on his journey:

After graduation, Malik plans to take a gap year to gain real-world experience before attending Morehouse College. He鈥檚 ready to continue building his future, armed with the lessons he鈥檚 learned at Carver STEAM and the unshakable belief that true intelligence lies in knowing when鈥攁nd how鈥攖o create your own path.
